Our Vance on NBC!
On July 19, 2006, Vance Epps was awarded the title of "News4 Morning Person." Vance is Atlantic's parking lot attendant at Maritime Plaza located next to the Navy Yard in Southeast DC. He was nominated by Maritime Plaza parkers who stated that "Vance brightens their mornings." A News4 camera team surprised Vance at his work location to congratulate him.After the cameras had departed, the Atlantic Parking leadership team made their own trip to Maritime Plaza (with a check for $250) to thank Vance in person for being such a hard working and dedicated employee. Atlantic Parking is proud to have a man like Vance on its team. At the end of this emotional day, the wise words Vance passed on to his 11 year old son were, "Work hard and you will be rewarded."
The child replied with a phrase every father longs to hear - "Dad, you're the King!"
